i'm here! and enjoying myself!

all is well in vietnam, i am really enjoying my time here. it's very hot, similar to thailand. i've been staying on the ship, which is great because there are reliable showers, frigid air conditioning and free meals. i suppose that means i have more spending money? hehe.

i have been to the war remnants museum, the large ben thanh market, purchased lots of dvds, visited a deaf school and an orphanage. i've also had a lot of noodles - i am loving pho! its basically chicken noodle soup. and i've been attempting to master the art of chopsticks, though they usually see us struggling and bring us forks.

today i am going to try and add a semester at sea trip to the cu chi tunnels and the cao dai temple. i just feel like i need to learn more about the city and the country, and sas trips are good at that. if i don't get the trip i'll probably spend time with ren and kelsey, though i don't want to waste time shopping or wandering around.

tomorrow is my agent orange/ymca visit and i'm apprehensive. i saw so many sick babies and children at the orphanage, i'm sure tomorrow will be just as challenging on my heart.

off to breakfast & hopefully onto the tip!

miss and love :)

HAHA!!Today's word is BEARI, and i am beari glad because i don't feel like THINKING - possitively everything is blooming here and clouding up me brain, so being clever is out of the question!

We had a beari busy weekend, so i was just reading and catching up with your bearied activities. I don't think you could BE having any more fun! i am so impressed with your ability to travel all around - i wouldn't have a CLUE where to go or how to get there. i have decided that if i ever get to travel abroad for any length of time, i'm taking you as my tour guide - wouldn't we have a blast? i mean who knew you could give a big hairy elephant a bath?

Today i am preparing for my college roomate to come visit for a few days. I am beari excited!! Doug will be in Rochester on business for the next week and so Pat decided to come keep me company - i can't wait!! It will most certainly make the time go faster! we are going to all the antique malls in and around franklin and the little boutique shops - it will be beari much fun!!

This past weekend we did a new and fun thing - we were contacted by the boston terrier rescue where we adopted our dogs and they asked if we would be willing to do home visits for potential adopting families in our area. we said yes, and had our first home visit on sunday. we took crickett with us and she was the silly animal she always is. we observed them playing and interacting with her and talked with them and then had a HUGE report to file so it can be determined if they are good folks for adoption. I was alot of fun and they were terrific. i imagine it woudlnt' be so fun if we had to turn them down for adoption - twould be sad! anyway - just a new phase in our "retired" lifestyle. I think i like it!

Sounds as tho life is wonderful for you - keep up the good blog!! We BEARI much appreciate it. Love you sweet cheeks!! AUnt T

Hi Princess,
I'm sorry I missed the skype...I hope you have the opportunity to do it again soon. I'm glad you're having such a great time; I think of you ALOT. For Uncle Andy's b-day I took him for a pedicure and a massage. There's always a 1st time for everything. :)(he loved it - of course no polish)(not even orange & blue)
